SBEPAC Win: Elk Grove City Councilmember Scherman

SBEPAC Win: Elk Grove City Councilmember Scherman

On November 4th Sophia Scherman won the honor of serving for a 3rd term on the Elk Grove City Council! Sophia was first elected to City Council during the Cityhood push and has been regarded as one of the most accessible elected officials in the region.

In our conversations with Sophia since the election she has shared her thankfulness to the Exchange PAC for supporting her re-election bid.  Regarding her re-election Mrs. Scherman shares,

“Thank you all so much! Without your support and friendship I could not have done it. There are so many to thank. If I started to begin naming you I am sure that I would forget someone. Some of you worked behind the scenes. Others endorsed me openly, while others walked precincts a total of (51)! There were phone banks many of you working out of your homes. You let your neighbors and friends know who and what I stand for. Then there were the almost monthly fundraisers that were held that so many of you attended each one of them. My campaign was successful because of the financial support that I received. Given our present economy, having to raise money for me was the part that I didn’t like. I know that it must have been difficult but you all came through when I needed financial help.

My promise to you is this I will humbly continue to serve you with honor and integrity with an open door policy. Again thank you all so very much.”

SBEPAC Win: El Dorado Supervisor John Knight

SBEPAC endorsed John Knight for the position as the El Dorado supervisor because he understands how to bring groups together to get things done.  In our experience with Supervisor-elect Knight, he has been pro-business and an advocate for our industry.

“It is an honor and a privilege to be able to serve the citizens of El Dorado county and have the support and encouragement of the people in El Dorado county.”

14 SBEPAC Wins!

Talk about triumph!! In the recent General Election, the SBEPAC supported fourteen successful candidates.  This means that, in this year alone, we had a total expenditure of $150,000 for 30 successful candidates in the General and Primary elections. It brings us great pride to work alongside our members to keep improving the commercial construction industry.  Thank you to our PAC supporters who have been a part of this victory.

SBEPAC Win: Galt City Councilmember Payne

Our candidate for the Galt City Council, Barbara Payne, was triumphal in her re-election to the council! She comments,
“This was a re-election for me so to be able to continue is very important since you never seem to be able to completely finish all the projects you want to accomplish. I wanted to run because I heard from the people that Galt has wanted to have more retail and to be able to shop at home and have jobs at home for some years but they have had to drive out of town. With the economy it has been hard for the people to support themselves. I know how important the building system is in regards to the economy. You need homes for businesses and families and I think I can see the need where others don’t. I’m looking forward to working more with the Exchange.”

SBEPAC Win: San Juan School Board Member Launey

We are proud announce that SBEPAC supported Richard Launey was re-elected to the San Juan Unified School Board. Mr. Launey thanks our members for their support saying,

“I very much appreciate your support and look forward to working together in the coming four years.”
